Application Timestamp: 4833a470

OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Thanks

What is a Group Contact? You have made up a term that has no meaning to
anyone else. You should also include the precise steps that produced the
error message, mail account type, and information store since we can't guess
any of that information either.

Hi Russ,

I apologize for the term "Group Contact". What is the correct term
describing the following:

A "group" of email addresses that you alias as a single entity such as the
"Cleaning_Crew" or "Setup_Crew", etc.

that's what I meant as a "Group Contact", a distribution list.

Now you wanted to know the steps they are as follows:

1. Composed an email
2. Entered my "distribution list" in the Bcc field
3. Noticed the "+" sign signalling that I could expand the list.
4. Received the error stating the following:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: OUTLOOK.EXE
Application Version: 12.0.6316.5000
Application Timestamp: 4833a470
Fault Module Name: contab32.dll
Fault Module Version: 12.0.6315.5000
Fault Module Timestamp: 4824a8ea
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 0000b641
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

5. Outlook closed down.

Does this help?

You probably have a corrupt distribution list. Still not sure why you put
that term in quotes. That is what you created, right? DL's are not reliable
or robust. You must recreate them frequently.

Thanks.

You're probably right about the corrupted distribution list. I'm using
Outlook connector and the distribution list was imported from my hotmail
contacts.

DL's have never survived importing. The average life expectancy of a DL that
is handled with great care is 6 months.
