Post subject: Outline Numbering Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>numbering (more info?)
Hello, I am trying to resolve the following issue without outline numbering
in a quality specification.
1 I want to type an outline
1.1 This outline is really neat
1.2 And has existed since creation
1.2.1 However, since I am always evolving
1.2.2 I am going to want to add content after paragraph 1.2
The next line will be inserted at 1.3 and will say, "Maybe, even before
that!"
However, I would like a # pound sign to prefix the line, indicating that
this was an addition to the original text. I would use an * asterisk to
indicate a change in text. How can I do this without having to manually
construct my outline numbering sequence?

All times are: Eastern Time (US & Canada) (change)
