It will not appear as a 'program'. It provides the ability to open docx
format in Word 2002.

It's designed to be relatively seamless. Once installed, you should see
additional file types in Files of type: in file dialog boxes. Also, when
double-clicking a .docx file, it should get opened by Word 2002 (assuming
that Word 2007 isn't also installed).

Everytime I click on the Compatibility Pack download link, I get an error
message that "The Page You've Requested Can Not Be Found." Any ideas?
Thanks

I also have installed the coverter (several times), but every .docx file I
attempt to open with Word 2003 produces an error message "There was an error
opening the file". This is after Word 2003 has displayed the "File Convert"
dialogue box in which the Word 2007 option is highlighted.
What else should I do?
BTW - I get the same error message when I try to open .docx files with the
Word Viewer utility.

Thanks for your trouble Graham, but No. Sad
I have the conversion prompt setting checked.
I get the Convert File dialogue with the Word 2007 option highlighted.
But when I click the OK button, I get the error message I have quoted already.

And the same with my installation of MS Word Viewer which is apparently
somehow related to or dependent on the converter.
Any more ideas?
