Post subject: Numbering Paragraphs Stopped Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>numbering (more info?)
Thank you for this resource. My numbering just stopped from last night. I
have a long document and when I started on it this morning the numbering
lists just stopped. It still indicates the proper style from the list on
Home Tab, but now I have to manually type the number. I went back to my
precedding editions and they stopped too. In a blank page I went to the mult
listing as a new type, and it started, but I hate to even mess with it.
Could the fact that the modify box in the modify operation are not checked
for saving as a new stype and automatic update affect it? Could it be that
microsoft is urning this off becaause it is saying my copy is not genuine,
eventhough I am working with microhard to correct it, and they say it is a
good copy? The message says the software will be marked "ingenuine" in 11
days. What happens then?

PSS When I restart a default numbering style, it puts its calculated number
next to the original number, so now I have two numbers. Its treating the old
number as text. I have to find a better way to do this or leave this head
ache and MS. the answer likely come from asia.

If you are using a numbered paragraph style, try selecting the paragraphs
whose numbering is missing and then press Ctrl+Q; that should restore the
settings of the style.
