I have two excel files. On one file that I am sending to another state
contains charts. The charts are linked to other excel file that I have.
When I send the charts file the person that is receiving the file cannot view
the charts. This has never happened in six years. The message that they are
receiving says: security warning, automatic update of links has been
disabled. There is an options button to click on where they choose "enable
this content" but the chart still does not appear. Can someone please help?

I've gotten copies of charts that have the series set to reference another
workbook besides the one that the charts are contained in. I'm not sure how
this happens, so I can't go back to the originator to tell them what not to
do. I did just recreate the problem by copying the chart from one workbook
to another. You may want to look at the series references for each chart
with a problem.

It worked fine in 2003, but now that I've started using 2007 the problem has
occurred. The charts are fine, its something to do with the newer version.
