I am using Word 2003
When I clicked on View and then Headers/Footers, the header and footer
rectangles came up but the tool bar did not not. How do I get the header and
footer toolbard to appear? I know it is not on the normal "Toolbar" list.
What do I do now?

thank you - aurora

Press Ctrl+G to open (or switch to) the Immediate Window
Type commandbars("Header and Footer").enabled = true
Press Enter
Press Alt+F4 to close the VBE

Hi, I have the same issue and this resolution did not work. I have deleted
the normal.dot, reinstalled Word 2003 with no success. In the Header adn
Footer view, Customize/Toolbars, the Header and Footer check box can not be
selected. Any otehr ideas?
Thanks,
Arnie

Thanks, but after more research adding both:

commandbars("Headers and Footers").enabled=true
commandbars("Headers and Footers").visible=true

worked. Thanks again.

Post subject: Re: Missing Header/Footer Toolbar [Login to view extended thread Info.]

I use Word 2003 SP3 and have the same problem. Followed Suzanne's instructions, applied the additional solution used by Arnie to solve the issue, but I still cannot see the H&F toolbar. This started when shutting my computer down a window popped up asking if I wanted to save the changes to normal.dot file. I did not know that was the file containing the instructions for the toolbar. Now I do, yet I cannot see the toolbar.

Any suggestions how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
