Hello,

I have several users that are experiencing intermittent problems with
printing worksheets with cell borders. One user only has the issue with a
particular worksheet, which prints fine on another user's machine to the same
printer, while another might occasionally have the problem on random
worksheets printing to an entirely different printer than the first user.

The borders are all aligned correctly when viewed in a Print Preview window
on any and all machines, but when the worksheet is printed the borders,
typically a single or double underline, will appear across the word or number
instead of under it as well as being slightly to the left of where it should
have printed. All text alignment in columns and rows are correct on the rest
of the page when printed but the borders appear to be shifted.

This has happened on more than one model of printer, more than one model of
PC, more than one workbook and worksheet, to more than one user. We have
completely deleted the printer from each user's list and reinstalled it,
we've installed the latest PCL6 driver on the server and even tried
installing the latest PCL5 driver to make sure that it is not an issue with
PCL itself. We are running Office XP on Windows XP Pro SP2 on all machines.
We have a mix of Canon ImageRUNNERS and HP LaserJets, but I am not certain
that this issue has been seen with our HP printers.

Any suggestions, hint, and/or tips? Does anyone know if this issue is
specific to Office XP or Canon printers?

Thanks in advance,
Scott @ SMC

Correction: After speaking with my cohort, it seems that the issue ONLY
occurs on our HP LaserJet printers and NOT on our Canon ImageRUNNERS,
regardless of the workbook, PC, driver, or printer. We have the problem on
our older LaserJet models 5Si, 8000, and 8150, but have yet to see the issue
on our desktop models or our new M4345s.
