Post subject: Microsoft Office 2000 - Outlook problem Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>mail (more info?)
Received new compurter which is running Vista. When I loaded Office most
things seem to be working except Outlook -when tring to enter a contact it
gives me a message that says can not find WAB DLL - also when I try to send
a message by entering the e-mail address it gives me the same WAB DLL
problem. I am able to receive all messages. I have tried to find
information on this on the Microsoft area and in general on the internet but
can not find anything - in the meantime I can not use the program that I
have used successfully for several years.

It would have been better to post this question to one of the Outlook
Newsgroups, but I have cross-posted this response to the most likely ones so
hopefully, one of the regulars there will be able to assist you

Hope this helps.

Known issue when running Outlook 2000 on Windows Vista which won't be
addressed as Outlook 2000 is no longer supported and hasn't been designed
with Vista in mind (they are 6 - 7 years apart which is an eternity in
IT-terms).
A workaround is to run Outlook 2000 in Corporate/Workgroup Mode but you
could still run into other issues then. A solution would be to upgrade your
version of Outlook to at least Outlook 2003. If you are not willing to
invest in software and depending on your needs, another solution would be to
use Windows Live Mail and Vista's integrated Contacts and Calendar
functionality.
