Post subject: Lucida Fraktur Font
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>printingfonts (more info?)

Until switching from Win XP to Vista, access to Lucida Fraktur Font was
available; with Vista this is not so; furthermore, the trial of Office 2007
apparently brings with it no useful increase in fonts.

How does one restore use of Lucida Fraktur (Traditional German) Font ?
What additional Fonts does Office 2007 bring with it over previous editions,
if any?

Neither Desktop Publishing / Word

There is no "Lucida Fraktur" font. You may be referring to Lucida
Blackletter, which was included with Publisher 97, Office 97 Service
Release 1a, and Access 97 SR2. An earlier version was in the MS
Truetype FontPack around 1992-3. If you still have your original
distribution CD's for any of these products, it can be found there, or
you can transfer it from your older system.

You can find lists of what fonts were included with what MS products here:

http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.aspx

Like most fonts, it can also be purchased separately from a variety of
vendors; there are many hundreds of other blackletter and fraktur
fonts available. Google for Blackletter Fonts or Fraktur Fonts or
Gothic fonts.
