1. The instant search return to nothing when the indexing of the new opened
..pst file, is it normal?
2. The advanced Find also returns to NOTHING for a new opened pst file while
the pst file is still under indexing, is it normal?

We need to assume you are talking about Outlook 2007?
Yes, it is normal when you do an indexed search on a not yet indexed
location you'll get 0 results as you query against an index which is empty.

Roady, what do you mean by a not yet indexed location? Sometimes the instant
search works and sometimes it returns nothing. Could this be a timing issue
as to when the indexing is occuring?

feature. I started another thread with a more exact question about instatn
searches without indexing. thanks.
