There needs to be many improvements in BCM for Outlook. Bullets follow...

1. Unable to select all/several contacts when running a contact history
report.
2. Cannot add a folder in BCM so that I can move my lost deals to another
place.
3. Overall...no personal customization is possible.
4. Probability % is decreasing expected revenue...i want to be able to
change this
option.
5. If looking at opportunities window...I have to exit to get contact info
if i want to
make a call. This should be a hyperlink.
6. Expected close date should have a calendar attached.
7. Should be able to run a expected revenue report by month, quarter,
etc...! The
probability % shouldn't calculate against expected revenue...or at least
the option
to change.
8. Should be able to right-click on a business contact and "create new
opportunity"
9. Should be able to run a report on ANY field in BCM.
10.Cannot customize "source of lead", "type", or "sales stage" fields.
11.Sales funnel report would be nice.

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry

I agree on everyone of those points. BCM has potential for sales and
marketing types, but is nowhere ready for prime-time. MS should have
witheld release on this application until more of these features were
available. Bait and switch is a poor marketing strategy.

BCM was reported as a replacement for ACT!... Not today.

You should try BCM 2007. Several of your issues have been addressed.

I agree, I use Act for my business, I wanted to use MS outlook just becouse
I use email so much. But after spending hours playing with tril version I
downloaded I noticed that it is not very user friendly. Some of thing just
don’t work, I run a Martial Arts Academy and like to be customization some of
the fields in the form, can’t do it.
I think I’ll stick to ACT

Unless you are a part of a large Enterprise Orginization with hundreds of
users, Act is going to stop being useful. Sage Software is built around
applications that run on big server farms and integrate with other enterprise
apps. Act was purchased so they could get their foot in the door with a CRM
front ent. Thier entire development outlook is not for single users.
