Post subject: Import animated files into Power Point 2003 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>powerpoint (more info?)
I downloaded an animated .gif file and want to import it to a power point
presentation. The file is animated in windows media player but when I import
to power point 2003 there is no animation.

How about showing the presentation in the 97 Viewer?
or you might be able to go to Tools/Options/Edit and disable the new
animation features. That may help.

How did you "import" it??
If you Insert - Picture (select your animated gif file) it should be fine.
I create (using Visio to create the successive graphics plus compile/animate
software) many animated gifs and display them in PP slides (PP 2007, but
saved in 97-03 format).
