Have converted Excel file and "named for range". Outlook 2007 still will not
import to Contacts

"will not import to contacts" provides absolutely no information for anyone
to provide a possible solution.

#1 - What exact steps have you followed (and to what point in the import
process)?
#2 - What exactly happens in terms when you import? (or do you even get to
that point)
#3 - since you state you have a "named range" - does that also mean that you
have manually tried to map your import fields and all the column names in
the Excel file are available for mapping?

Another approach is to save your Excel worksheet that you are trying to
import as a .CSV file and import that file into Outlook instead of the Excel
worksheet. That takes Excel out of the equation when importing data into
Outlook.

Although I believe i have saved the file with a "named range" in Excel 2003.
I continue to get a "translation error" msg that says it does not have a
named range,
