Post subject: Ignore all words of a specific style in spell check? Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>spelling>grammar (more info?)
I write a lot of code samples in Word and invariably they show up as
misspelled words in Word 2007.
Is it possible to tell Spell Check to ignore all words with a specific
Style? (In this case, I use a custom style called "Code")

Yes, you can.
Right-click the Code style in the Quick Style group or in the Styles pane, and
choose Modify.
Select the option "New documents based on this template".
Click the Format button in the bottom left corner of the dialog and choose
Language.
Check the box for "Do not check spelling or grammar." Click OK in each dialog.

Thanks Jay - worked perfectly. "MVP" is absolutely right - I never would
have found that on my own.

I did just that (sorry to piggyback on your subject) - but it didn't work.
However, I'm working in compatibility mode and the template my document was
created from is a word 2003 templte (in word 2003 it worked...).
My word version is 12.0.6311.5000 with SP1 12.0.6213.1000
