Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>drawing>graphics (more info?)

I have pasted a graphic into a table. It fits into the table cell, as I have
formatted the picture in Word to be "Top and Bottom" on the "Advbanced" tab.
I have one line of text in the table which is below the graphic. I want the
line of text to be above the text.

I can't for the life of me get any text to fit abouve the graphic.
how would I do this?

Help!

In Word, graphics and tables have a delicate relationship that can cause
problems and have to be carefully managed.
All text in a table will always be in the same layer so you cannot have one
line below, one line above the graphic (which will always be in another
layer). Unless the graphic is InLineWithText which incorporates the graphic
in the same layer as the text - no good for your requirements. To get the
affect you are after, the quickest way would be to have the second line of
text in a text box and arrange this with the graphic as required.
If the text is annotating something specific in the graphic, I would suggest
you use a graphic editing application and annotate the graphic there and then
insert the graphic back into Word with the text integral with it.
Even good 'ol PowerPoint can do this easily, Save As JPG or PNG, depending
on quality results you are after.
Hope this helps
