Post subject: Graphics do not print in Word 2007...
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>word>drawing>graphics (more info?)

I have a Word 2007 document that has a logo in the header and several .png
graphics throughout said document. When I select Print Preview, the graphics
appear. Then when I print the document saved as Word 2007(.docx), none of my
graphics print; HOWEVER, when I save the document as a Word 97-2003
compatible document, the graphics appear and my document prints correctly. I
have read on this topic if graphics appear in print preview, but do not
print, it's a driver problem; but would that still be true even if the
document prints saved as a Word 2003 document???

Please help!

Hi Soriah,

If you've checked the settings in Word 2007 for
Office Button=>Word Options=>Display=>Printing Options
and
Office Button=>Word Options=>Advanced=>Show Document Content
related to pictures and images
then yes, it can be a driver problem.

Word is an excellent test device for graphic card adapters as, with having to render graphics text and more in a live updated page
layout environment it deals with some fairly complex underlying techniques to do that and each new version of Word tends to push the
graphic card drivers commonly in use.

You can, in the control panel, use the 'Display' setting and turn off, temporarily, graphic card acceleration to see if that has a
change. Graphic card acceleration is somewhat misunderstood. Maximum speed may only get you to the next red traffic light more
quickly, where your computer then waits for the flow of traffic to catch up before going again.
