Is there a simple way to add a "goal line" or "target" line to a chart? I've
looked at the previous posts and can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!

Hi,

Have you look at these explanations?

http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/AddLine.html
http://tushar-mehta.com/excel/charts/straight_lines/index.html

Yes. On your worksheet, produce a data series that represents the line you
want (in the simplest case Xmin Ymin as one point and Xmax Ymax as a second
point), then add that series as an an extra series on your chart.

So I would just put a column of data next to my data series and use autofill
to copy the same number down for the goal?

But how could I create a horizontal line representing a goal or target that
would go across on a bar chart besides just manual drawing a line?
