Post subject: Folder Change-contacts disappear when entered - not found Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>contacts (more info?)
Hi,
We are on Exchange 2k3 with XP clients using Outlook XP. Last year I
created a Public Folder for several depts. to use to track work hours
for student workers. They input the student name, job, # of hours
etc. and see how many hours of work per week/semester the student
has. Hey - it works for them.
So today one of the dept. heads came to say she had deleted all the
entries from the folder to make way for this years entries and now
cannot add any new contacts. When ever anyone tries to add data to the
folder it disappears upon saving and cannot be found.
I've checked all rights and permissions and they look fine. I'd
rather not have to delete and rebuild the folder if I can avoid it.
Does anyone have an idea of what could be happening? Any help is
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

[Update - found the problem - the public folder was moderated by an
employee who had recently left and while the entries were being
forwarded to the replacement employee he thought they were Spam and
was deleting them-issue resolved]
