Hi, I use Excel 2007 a lot using filters to narrow my looong lists and
applying different formulas to my different filterselections. Many times the
applied formula or formatting also is applied tothe the rows not included in
the filter. example.
A list of 10 recorsd/rows. My filter selection returns 5 records ( row
2,3,5,6,7)
I apply RED as color on the 5 lines visible. When removing the filter, all
rows between 2 and 7 are RED. Very SCARY, since I use this function to apply
different formulas ( read: conditions ) to differnet products I sell. So I
have lost a lot of money applying wrong sell prices to customers, this just
because the rows are inbetween some other filtered rows... Please HELP...
In Excel 2003 this was not a problem,,,,,

You say 'Many' times that means you do something different sometimes which
leads to the problem.
I tested your scenario in 2007 and did not have any problem.

Try to list the steps you perform which lead to the problem.

Hi:

I have a similar problem. I believe it's a bug in Excel 2007. When I use
"filter" in Excel 2007 and try to delete all the visible rows, sometimes, it
deletes all the rows between the first and the last visible rows but
sometimes it only deletes the visible rows. I guess we just have to be extra
careful when using the "filter" now since Excel 2007 apparently is not as
reliable as it's 2003 version until someone in Microsoft fixes it.

forgot to add, click "select visible cells" before you color those rows
should solve your problem, assuming there is no more bug.
