Post subject: Excel: cannot print to default printer when opened from email
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>excel>printing (more info?)

We have recently upgraded to Windows Vista and Office 2003 SP3 (had been
running SP2 on Windows XP).

Since then, users have been unable to print to their default printer from
Excel if they open a spreadsheet from an email. They can print to another
printer, or even the default printer if they switch then switch back.

From what I have seen in other postings I think it is an Office 2003 SP3
issue.

Has anyone else seen this or found a fix? There was a suggestion to try
reinstalling Excel, but it only sometimes works, and I have 1000 users with
this problem.

Many thank, K
