Hi
Our company uses Pegasus Opera a Visual Foxpro Accounting package. We have
numerous pivot tables linked into tables from the accounting package.
In the last few days the accounting software has been upgraded and this time
has installed the software into a new folder on the server; therefore all the
spreadsheets are linked to the old data.
Will changing the pointer to the database in the Visual FoxPro DSN allow the
data to be linked the new accounting data?
If we have to recreate the pivot tables we have another issue hopefully you
can help us with.
Within Excel we go to New Database Query and can create the query, however
as we add tables in MSquery the first couple are ok then the third and fourth
can take hours to add. MSQuery consumes about 50% of the processor on a dual
core machine and memory used continuously increases to over a gb, if the
tables can eventually be added then the speed of the query is fine. IS there
anything we are doing wrong or is there a setting in MSQuery to improve this?
