Hi Jiri,
When you use Ctrl+K it's reading in the lists for 3 choices:
- Current folder (Harcoded to use the My documents
setting from Windows, unfortunately)
- Browsed pages (Internet Explorer history)
- Recent Files (Same folder as using File=>Open and
My Recent documents).
It doesn't have any 'Intellisense' to it, in that it
appears to read/refresh those each time and when there are
a lot of documents/folder names/locations for it to read through
then sort it is frustrating that it takes that much time.
If you know the construct for the hyperlink field you can
manually type in the information in your Word document using
Ctrl+F9 to create a blank field and then type in HYPERLINK
and your data or use Insert=>Field (then type H) and use the
Hyperlink field from there to get to the field code options
without using the other dialog. (You could also use Tools=>Customize)
to jump to Insert=>Field rather than the hyperlink dialog)
I don't recall if using a macro to change the 'current folder'
setting when you enter the normal ctrl+K dialog works or
if it is waiting for the file list read to occur first.
