Post subject: My Deleted Items folder has disappeared! Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>general (more info?)
As the subject says, my 'Deleted Items' folder has disappeared from my Mail
folders display.
Running O2007 in XPSP2.
If I check the properties (folder size) of the personal folders, I can see
that the folder exists and has data (105Mb!) in it.
Under the folder list view it shows: Contacts, Sent Items, Outbox, Junk,
Drafts, Inbox, Tasks, Calendar.
I haven't knowingly deleted it - how do I get it back (so I can tidy it up!)
I have tried stopping and starting Outlook, but I haven't tried rebooting
the PC (yet!).

Thanks for replying so fast. Unfortunately, that hasn't made any difference.

OK, I've recovered by creating a new PST file, exporting all my inbox etc to
it, closing outlook and renaming the PST files! I now have an empty (but
functioning) Deleted Items folder...
Bit drastic, and caused Outlook some indexing headaches, but it worked.
Thanks for the help anyway.

And having used the export function, you may now expect all sorts of other
problems. The correct way to do that is posted here many times daily and
involves copying or drag and drop, NOT exporting .

But you can't drag/drop the Inbox etc (or at least that's what Outlook told
me!)
