Post subject: Ddelete the default Contacts folder in Outlook 2007 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>contacts (more info?)
I have made my own Contacts folders in Outlook 2007. I would like to get rid
of the empty, default Contacts folder. Is that possible? If not, is it at
least possible to make one of my custom Contacts folders the default? Thanks.

Neither of those is possible. The default folder is always the Contacts
folder in the default information store. Why not just move your contacts into
that folder?

You can't delete the default. You can't make your custom folder default. You
can copy the contents of one folder to the default folder and delete the
custom one.
Note: we don't recommend using multiple folders. We recommend using one
folder and categories to separate the contacts.
