Post subject: Customized appointment P.2 form problems
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>program_forms (more info?)

Hi,

I have customized the outlook form Form->Design Forms->Calender->P.2 and
renamed it to "FindConf". I have made this form to default so that whenever I
try to send meeting reques this forms appear along with Appointment and
Scheduling tab.
My customized form is working fine as expected but I have following problem
after integrated it with Outlook(by making it default).

The basic functionality of my customized form is to finding free conference
room and display it in ListBox control. Now user will select any conference
room followed by clicking the button selectConf so the selected conference
room will be appended to a Attandees list in Scheduling tab. Now here strange
problem occuring is given below:

If I did not touch(open) Scheduling tab before adding conference room(s)
then there is not an any problem. It is displaying free/busy status very
clearly for all the conference room(busy status in blue line).

Now I have followed following procedure:

1. I have added two conf rooms say X and Y without touching(opening)
Scheduling tab.
2. I have clicked on Scheduling tab, I could see that both X and Y conf
room displays free/busy status.
3. I again went back to my FindConf tab and I selected conf Z and clicke
selectConf to add it into Attendees list.
4. I have clicked on Scheduling tab, I could see that X and Y conf rooms
still displays free/busy status but for conf room Z i could see only strips
like ///////// and not disaplaying anything.

In my code I did not included Item.Save after adding conf room in the
Item.Recipient list. But when I have added Item.Save then irrespective of
whether I have opened Scheduling tab or not for all conference room X,Y and Z
it displays strings ///////.

Please refer the code given below.

Sub CommandButton2_Click

Dim confRoomName
If Not IsNull(Item.GetInspector.ModifiedFormPages("Find Conference
Room").Controls("ListBox1").Value) Then
Item.Recipients.Add(confRoomName(0))
Item.Save //I have removed this because it not display free/busy
status as explained above
End If
End Sub

If some one face the same issue then please let me know. Basically I want
the free/busy status to be displayed for all the conf room irrespective of
whether I have opened Scheduling tab or not.

Thanks,
Paresh
