Can somone tell me how to change the mail deliver option to my personal
folder with an exchange server in Outlook 2007. This was a very easy change
in 2003, but 2007 won't even allow me the option to change. POP accounts look
the same and are easily changed like in 2003.

It's actually easier in Outlook 2007 and give more control when heaving
multiple accounts configured.
Tools-> Account Settings-> Change Folder

The instructions below do not work for exchange server accounts. You
certainly can change POP mail accounts using these directions, but when you
select the exchanger server account the option to change mail delivery is
greyed out and cannot be selected.

On the Data Files tab, add a pst-file and set it as the default. Does it
work now (even without the button)?
Just curious; why would you want delivery to a pst-file when you have an
Exchange server?

You really shouldn't do this because you'll lose the sharing features
Exchange provides.

Tools>Account Settings>Data Files (I believe) should have the choice of
where to set the delivery location.

The reason I want to do this is because my corporate email account is on the
corporate exchange server. With Outlook 2003 I have my email delivered to my
PC and not kept on the server. Also I do not share my calendar as it contains
personal and business appointments. So with Outlook 2003 I can sync my Treo
with outlook and it all stays in my PST file. I do share my contacts which I
copy over to my server mailbox.

Now with Outlook 2007 I found that when I sync my Treo it puts all my
informaiton on the server, which is nice for the rest of the population but
not for me. I had to remove my exchange server here at home on 2007 to keep
from publihsing all my information.

What I don't understand is why they changed it so you cannot point the
exchange account to your personal files just like I have been able to do with
2003.

You should keep your work stuff in Exchange and the personal stuff in a PST.
Keep in mind, however, that ALL of it belongs to your employer if you are
using company assets to store it.

Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 can be configured to perform the same way and,
by default, they do. With Outlook 2007, you have the added bonus of having
a separate Inbox for each POP account, but nothing says you MUST use it.

I finally figured out what needed to be done. Unlike 2003 where you have a
drop down window to point to the where you want mail to be delivered (which
sitll exists for POP accounts in 2007) you must change the default setting
now in 2007. A slight change from 2003 but now I have it working as I want.
What's interesting is that this is not published and I've seached the MS site
a dozen different ways.
