Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>general (more info?)

I have read in several places about people having this same issue, and
everyone has basically concluded it was spam or a virus. I too
thought this until I got a blackberry. I realized that the blank
senders were coming from China, as I get them on my blackberry but not
on my outlook. I do business in China and now need these emails to
come through.
Research has also shown its not Outlook but the symptom that seems to
contradict this is, when I receive a large file from China outlook
downloads it as though the email will come through and then once
downloaded the message comes out blank. If I fwd the message from my
blackberry to myself, it works fine, except that reply goes to me.
I have Outlook 2003 with SP2 and the international settings set
correctly, but nothing has helped. Anyone with ideas out there? It
would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a virus scanner or other 3rd party scanning product installed
which integrates with Outlook? Disable this and try again.
Also verify your encoding setting of the received message.
