Post subject: Apply rules to the Inbox of a shared mailbox Archived from groups: microsoft>public>outlook>teamfolders (more info?)
Hi,
When I create a rule to move a message to a different folder, based on its
subject, it only applies it to my Inbox folder. I want to apply it to the
Inbox folder of a shared mailbox, whenever a mail comes in.
When I go to tools, rules, and choose "run rules now", THEN I can chose
which folder to apply it to and it works (so the rule is correct). I don't
want to do that every five minutes, I want it to run automatically when a
mail comes in the shared mailbox.
NB: The fact that the rule is "client-only" is not a problem.

Hi sarc,
select the option "implement no further rules".
It is one of the additional options in the rules wizard.
The rules must be "After incoming of a message.......move this
into.....implement no further rules"
Maybe it helps.

I could not find this option. It must be for a different version of Outlook...

in the English version (Hi Oliver) it's Stop processing rules (or something
like that)
I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
