How can I add background music & narration into my slideshow and have them
play simultaneously? I am making a slideshow for a non-profit organization
with a very low budget. The slideshow will show to the public, so are there
any sites that I can find music that are not subject to copyright?

Regarding playing music and voice over at the same time, it all comes to
setting your animation setting to run "with previous." Make sure you have
your music set to play across multiple slides (in drop down menu, Effect
Options > Effects Tab, set the number of slide to Stop Playing After __
Slides). You can enter audio clips on each slide for the voice over.

I know this is a five year old post, but stranger things have happened! Plus
I'm absolutely desperate. I did exactly as Sandy has instructed and still, no
luck. The background music stops playing when it comes to the first slide
with the vocal audio clip. The background music is set up in the first slide
and set to play 999 slides. By the way as it stands right now, it's only a
two slide presentation (couldn't get it any simpler) and the blasted thing
still doesn't run right. So to reiterate here's the configuration: Slide 1
with background music loop set for 999 slides, Slide 2 with 10 second audio
clip. When Slide 2 comes up, the audio clip plays, but the music loop stops
immediately. (Pass the Tylenol and thanks very much if you can help)
