Post subject: Access to Excel data converting

Hi, everyone! I am running a report in MS Access. That report is then run thru Excel via Tools/Office Links/Analyze It with Microsoft Office Excel.
Two of the fields are text, containing numbers and "-". (Ex: 04-10-02) This data is being converted to a numeric string, which appears to be the source data converted to the 1900-date. Is there a way to turn this particular feature off? Modifying the data is not really an option at this time. (If I put " ' " in front of the data while in Access, it does come across correctly, as a string.)

Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,
Boss1b
