Post subject: Remote site Passwords not saving

Well, after finding a topic that was very similar, I downloaded the update to
8.0.2 and installed it. But my problem still persists. Every time I close DW,
and then re-open it, the remote site passwords are lost again.
NOTE: after installing the DW8 update, the software doe not indicate anywhere
that is is upgraded. "About" still says version 8.0
All help will be greatly appreciated. |

If the program doesn't say 8.0.2, then it didn't update. Did you run the
installer or just download the file?

Were you using IE when you downloaded the 8.02? I tried it with Firefox and the program would not install - maybe it was me. Anyway, I tried it in IE and all went well.

I did the update and the issue of dropping passwords was resolved, Thank

The tech note must be the cause... I lost power the first time during a storm, so it must have not finished in time. I will try a reinstall and then update. |

Hello:
I did go through the update as I found this topic a few months back in the
forum. It fixed my problem. Now it is back. THe only thing I can say that
changed when my passwords were disappearing is I updated Explorer to IE7. That
may not have a thing to do with it but, that is when the mischief began again.
Am reinstalling once again.

An update. Reinstalled upgrade. All is better for now but I am positive that
the update was made a couple months back, and Dreamweaver confirmed that it was
at 8.0.2 upon opening the program.
