Here's another scenario- was on osx 10.4.11 with DW8 - preview was fine in FF
1.5 and 2.0.0.17, Safari, etc. Just bought a new iMac - transferred all my
files using Firewire method. Had to reload DW8. Now with osx leopard 10.5.4
and DW8, FF preview is broken - can't find file BUT if I remove one of the
slashes in the URL is works OK.
For example: this doesn't work in FF:
file:///Macintosh%20HD/Work%20Zone/Accounts/A-L...
(notice the 3 slashes after "file:" )
but this does work:
file://Macintosh%20HD/Work%20Zone/Accounts/A-L...
(only 2 slashes after "file:)
Also when I remove the extra slash and press return to load that new URL, FF
changes the case of the word 'Macintosh' and 'HD' to all lower case like this:
file://macintosh%20hd/Work%20Zone/Accounts/A-L
So I just remove that extra slash to make it work but it's one extra step I
don't really want to do! I'll keep researching any other solutions...
