I understand it wasn't intentional, but it still makes it more difficult for
us to assist you. When you piggyback on another thread, it starts to get
confusing and it's easy to lose track of what each individuals problems are,
what was suggested to them, and what they have tried. IMO it is better to just
start a new thread.

Yep and we have tried to have that changed but it has not happened. There are
other problems as well, such as the Topic Summary (where many users put the
real topic description) does not propagate either. It will all be moot soon, as
the nntp access will be removed when the forum is upgraded in the near future.
Until then, refrain from editing posts - just add another post to the thread if
you find your previous post had an error or omission.
