Post subject: Alert Message on Upload... Dreamweaver is currently

:confused; Out of the blue I have started to get an alert or error message
when I go to upload. Does not happen every time, but sporadically.
Messages states: Dreamweaver is currently interacting with a server.
Since putting a file on save requires interaction with a server as well,
Dreamweaver cannot currently perform this task..
Please try again when the current server task is complete.

I don't think I did any changes with settings...

Problem, so far is annoying... I don't see it affecting the actual website in
the end.

Typically that message is thrown when you try to upload a new file, or
change sites before your previous upload is finished. Might that be the
cause?

:frown;No, no upload happening from before.. not changing sites...
Happens now on every upload. the very far bottom right states activity
complete.

Upload.. Message occurs, click OK and then it uploads... message below is
activity complete. I go to change info on even the same page.. minutes
later.. upload ... get the message again.

This was not happening last week, or even this last year. I got a new
computer in December... but have done plenty of uploads since.
Puzzled.

I am also getting this message, every time that I press F12 to preview my work
in a browser. It gets to be a total pain after a while. Is there no way of
switching it off? It never happens in MX or the version 8 prior to CS3.

:confused; I'm sorry you are going through the same thing. I have no idea how
I got rid of it. One morning, it just did not happen, and has not since. I am
on a network, and was wondering if that had affected it somehow.

One of our techies said that the windows update caused it, but we did not have
an update when it started to work correctly.

Sorry that I am not much help, but it is totally annoying!:disgust;

OK .. I will thrown my frustrated hat into this ring. I am getting the same
error and it is making DW CS4 on OS X almost unusable. Are there any Adobie
types that would care to comment? I also teach Dreamweaver at a local college
and if this continues, I certainly will question if we can continue to teach
DW, at least with CS4.

Anyone?
